December 31st 11:59 pm.
Every year its kinda the same hype.
Parties going on all across the globe like there's no tomorrow, except there is (hopefully), and that's why everyone's freakin out.
Ball Drops in NYC,
Fireworks in every country/city in the world
New Years parties with co-workers,
New Years parties wit h friends, family, your significant other, fiance, or with millions of other random people,
and confetti.
That's what I think of when New Years comes up.
That's New Years when the secular calendar hits December 31st.
Halevai- IF ONLY,
If only we would all be so excited the same way we are about New Years every second of our lives.
Every second is a new one filled with the unknown, mystery, suspense, adventure.
So, let be thankful and excited every second of our lives
Lets feel those fireworks internally, in our bones, in our head, in our heart, throughout our whole body.
Lets feel those sparks and fireworks on June 5th and September 17th, and on every single day of the calendar.
September 29th- כ''ט אלול
At sunset, the moment when the Hebrew calendar switches to the Jewish New Year- aka, Rosh Hashana.
Every family, every sect of Judaism has their own personal customs to help them connect with Gd more personally.
There are no huge ball drops in NYC, or physical fireworks and confetti,
But there are spiritual internal sparks and fireworks and major excitement.
Rosh Hashana is a time to tap into the spirituality, it is a time to focus specifically on your soul.
This is a New Year to focus on your religious side, your spiritual side, your personal/PASSIONATE relationship WITH Gd.
Yes, wee are getting judged by Gd. Yes, it could be a scary, and extremely stressful time, but when we focus our thoughts and emotions on the real, deep, spiritual goal/aspect on what its all about,
its much less scary and stressful and more about US AND GD as a couple, in a partnership/relationship.
If we take some time to learn about the deep essence (Chassidus) of Rosh Hashana, we will be blown away with the new emotions and thoughts that we will have about the Jewish New Year.
